Professor Stephen Hawking’s disability has in a way been a boon to physics. Come to think of it, what is a completely paralyzed guy with no worldly distractions in the form of bodily functions to do but ponder about the universe and existence. He probably doesn’t have to worry about satisfying his sexual desires(in my opinion the biggest inhibitors to human productivity, topped only by laziness). Also since there’s almost zero physical movement, it means he doesn’t have to feed himself very often and subsequently feel drowsy(another waste of time). And in case he wants some extra concentration, can anyways shoot coke too.

Come to think of it, this is the only law that truly governs the universe. So go ahead and use it to solve all the curiosities you’ve ever had.

Our species has not evolved much since we have had any written history. While it is arguable that this has been a very short time to expect any noticeable changes, but our social behaviors are also not helping much.

We have a tendency to group ourselves based on race, religion, nationality and a lot more factors. That’s understandable because evolution has taught us that survival is easier in groups. But we tend to use these groupings to limit the mating pattern within a group, which causes genetic crossovers in a limited pool. This constant genetic recycling over the ages has done more harm than good to evolution.

Secondly, our constant medical advancements, while extending the life of our species on the planet has an adverse side effect of disregarding natural selection. This is aided more by the societal makeup. The weak survive and produce off springs. This is not how nature wants it to be. However, cruel it sounds but nature always kills the weak.

Coming back to the original topic – the fact that evolution seems stalled and is likely to be so, human species shall continue to inherit the violent instincts inculcated by evolution.

As a new child is born, all that he possesses is what has been hard-wired into the brain by evolution, including the tendencies of aggression. Living in a world that is already full of hatred, he learns about the violent events in the present and even more so in the past. He grows up to inevitably carry on the legacy of violence, hatred and war. Generation by generation we have continued to tread down the same path and will continue to do so, not because its all our fault, but that’s what we have been hard-wired to do. And the apparent absence of any kind of evolution shall keep the human species in a state of perpetual war with itself and its surroundings till it self-destructs.

There are certain methods in which this can be avoided, but they seem too impractical to ever come into existence. For example, raising generations over a period of thousands of years in complete isolation from the violent past till a point where any tendencies of evolutionary aggression disappear.

I read some bullcrap which basically states that observation of the universe by conscious observers like humans affects its behavior. Dear mad scientist if this retarded theory tries to build upon the uncertainty principle, even remotely, let me please reiterate it for you.

Yeah biatch!!! Firstly, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle is valid only for particles at quantum scale, not the freeking Universe. Secondly, this arises from the dilemma that observing a particle(by using a photon), displaces it and hence makes its position measurement inaccurate, its got nothing to do with an observer being conscious. And while we’re at it, how do you define consciousness? Don’t even get me started on that topic.
